Ignorance is bliss. In the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury he tries to send readers a message that is saying knowing everything isn 't always good. We shouldn 't always try to know everything because sometimes the truth hurts or it causes pain and misery. It warned what too much knowledge could do to us and the harm it could cause our world. He wants his readers to get the message that the world may be a better place without advancements in technology.


This the paper will discuss people’s overdependence on technology in various fields of human interaction, education, and communication. People have become overly dependent on technology because it determines how they interact, study, and communicate.

People no longer need to attend school to get degrees. Children spend a lot of time playing video games and surfing the internet. Children’s overdependence on technology has resulted in poor performance in schools, anthe d the development of conditions such as obesity (Taylor, 2013). Partners do not need to meet physically because of the proliferation of social networking sites that connect them from any part of the world.

For example, young people spend a lot of time playing video games, watching television, and surfing the internet that they do not have time for friends. Isolation, segregation, and loneliness are the aftermath of overdependence on technology (Hill, 2002). Services such as Skype have negatively influenced physical interaction.

In today’s society, technology has become a central aspect of people’s lives. Technology is widely used in socializing, education, governance, healthcare, and communication (Harrington, 2011). People have become overly dependent on technology much to the compromise of their social and family lives.

The other reason that evidently shows how we have increasingly become too much dependent on technology pertains that people get very upset for instance, when the lights go off.

The period between 1950 and 2000 displayed a remarkable change in scientific and technological innovations that ultimately impacted the U.S. economy. Advancements in computing, aerospace, and manufacturing allowed the U.S. to transform its economy and upgraded the standard of living. Today, this essay will evaluate the extent to which these innovations changed the U.S. economy by explaining the innovation’s contribution to economic growth. The growth of the computing industry was one of the main innovations that shaped the U.S. economy. The development of information technology (IT) allowed for more powerful and faster computers that allowed us to create new industries such as aerospace programs.

Dependence on technology is a condition wherein individuals cannot perform their daily activities without the use of some device.

Texting has become the order of the day. Young people rely on text messages for communication. In the workplaces, emails are the preferred mode of communication. This has eroded the traditional face-to-face interviews and discussions with managers and supervisors (Woodbury, 2013). Technology has made communication easier hence overdependence. Managers do not hold frequent meetings as they used to in olden days.

Throughout history, different types of technologies have developed that helped man to simplify and better his lifestyle. Over the centuries, rudimentary technologies gave rise to new ones and in some cases replaced earlier technologies came to meet current needs. Ever since the dependence on technology has considerably increased and the consequences on society, countries and individuals are enormous. Technological dependence undoubtedly has a unique course that we cannot alter, nor stop; It has come to redefine our lives.
